For a federal system guaranteeing provincial autonomy
In Kabylia, everybody knows that the most appropriate way to put an end to the problem of insecurity and the everlasting political impotence in Algeria is to institute a federal system guaranteeing provincial self-government.
Algeria is a vast country where these issues (insecurity and political impotence) have always been the daily preoccupations of Amazigh people of Kabylia. Although, these serious problems may be traced back to the first seconds which followed the Arabic-Islamic invasion, Kabylians have always refused to view this very old plight as a fatality. On the contrary, they believe that a federal government system, which would set up six to ten federations, is the only right way to ensure a complete and efficient control of all the country’s aspects of life: security, economy, development, democracy, good governance and human rights.
In fact, the majority of Kabylians believe that without a federal system guaranteeing regional autonomies based on geographical, historical and cultural specificities, the country would never be able to reinstate long-term security. Kabylian people, who know that the Algerian Arabic-Islamic military dictatorship is at the origin of the everlasting social, economic and politic hopelessness, are fervent advocates of federalism. But what seems to be beyond the Kabylians’ control and influence is when the despotic Arabic Islamic Algerian government makes of the security issue its own raison d’être.
The Algerian Arabic-Islamic government knows that once security is re-established, Algerians (especially Kabylians) would be asking for other important things such as democracy and the kind of government that would suit their huge country. Being against democracy which would put an end to its political, cultural and economic monopolies, the wicked and anti-Amazigh Algerian government encourages insecurity and anarchy to give good reason for its existence and its long-lasting repressive strategy.
Even so, Kabylians, who struggle for the official recognition of their identity and democratic and secular cultural heritage, are still trying to convince their fellow-citizens (Arabic-Islamic Algerians) that federalism is the only government system which would guarantee true democracy, true security and true prosperity, in vain. But the question which needs an urgent answer is how an oppressed people such as Kabylians can manage to put an end to the devastating insecurity and anarchy when their despotic and tyrannical government uses them to maintain itself in power?
